Band will play brand new album live; fans can win tickets throughout NYC area August 25-29

With their highly anticipated studio album Somewhere Under Wonderland set for release on September 2 on Capitol Records, Counting Crows announced today Somewhere Under Wonderland LIVE at Irving Plaza on August 31. The free, one-night only show will feature the band’s live performance of the new album along with some of their classic hits.

Continuing the success of the live, 3D chalk art reveals for the songs “Palisades Park,” “Scarecrow,” “God Of Ocean Tides,” and “Earthquake Driver,” artwork for the remaining five tracks will be revealed each day next week in mystery locations throughout New York City and its surrounding areas. The first 75 fans that show up at each location will receive tickets to the show. Clues and information for the daily chalk art locations can be found on Counting Crows’ Facebook page. Tickets will also be available through SiriusXM’s The Spectrum.

For fans outside New York City, the special performance will be live streamed on Live Nation Channel on Yahoo Screen.
