Immy's Year In Review
Well, dear friends and loyal readers, Earth completes yet another circle ‘round the Sun, so I think y’all know what THAT means – time once again for me to foist upon you my extremely Immalicious compendium of “essential” albums [sic] released in 2014 (and yes, for the discerning and curious, ’14 produced a veritable bumper crop of the excellent and diverse)…
Pictured above, you’ll find yours truly in a shameless celeb photo grab with the fantabulous Courtney Barnett (troubling her post-show in Milano). Her superb “Double EP: A Sea Of Split Peas” got more play than most in my hotel rooms around the planet this year, but doesn’t appear on this list because it actually came out in 2013; for that matter, I believe Counting Crows delivered a “corker” this year as well, but me putting my own band on this list? Well, THAT just wouldn’t be “cricket”, would it?! (oh…see what I did there?)
As usual, I digress, so please proceed to the list below and have at it, in no particular order (though Sleaford Mods are at the top of the list for a reason!), reissues and archival releases at the bottom.Take a chance and yell at me later! I dare ya!
Cheers everybody,
Immy
